Who we are
Draysey Woods Nature Escape operates the campsite at Vann Farm Road, Ockley, Surrey RH5 5TF and is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can reach us at enquiries@campdrayseywoods.co.uk.
What we collect
- When you book: your name, email address, phone number, arrival and departure dates, the pitch or tent you chose and how many, the amount you paid and your booking reference.
- When you send an enquiry: the name, email address, phone number and dates you enter into the form, and anything you choose to tell us in the message field.
- Basic technical information your browser sends, such as pages visited, used only to keep the site working.
Card payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and we never see your card number. Stripe tells us only that the payment succeeded, the amount and a payment reference, which we keep with your booking. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to that step.
Why we use it
We use your details to take and confirm your booking, process your payment, send your confirmation and any refund, answer your enquiry and arrange your stay. The lawful basis for a booking is performance of a contract with you. For an enquiry it is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. To check that a pitch is free we use Pitchup, which receives the booking dates and pitch type but not your personal details. Stripe processes your payment. We also use service providers for website hosting, email delivery and running the booking system, who process data on our instructions only.
How long we keep it
Six months after you leave, we remove your name, email address and phone number from the booking record. What remains is the stay itself, the amount paid and the payment reference, with nothing that identifies you. That remainder is kept for six years so we can meet our accounting obligations, then deleted. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within twelve months.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site sets one essential cookie to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.
The private page the campsite owner uses to manage dates sets two further cookies, one while signing in and one to keep them signed in. They are strictly necessary, they are set only on that page, and a guest browsing this site never receives them.
